It will be Tiger v Tiger in the 2013 Jeep Legends Cup, to take place at the MCG this Sunday (May 19).
The Jeep Legends Cup, featuring some gun ‘Tigers of Old’, plus some extremely enthusiastic (and, in some cases, football-deluded) corporate supporters, will be the curtain-raiser to the Round 8 Richmond v Melbourne clash.
Tiger ‘tragic’ and multi-media megastar, Mick Molloy, will coach the Richmond team, with 1980 premiership defender, Emmett Dunne, taking the coaching reins with the Tigers team (wearing the Club’s yellow pre-season guernseys).
This epic encounter will kick off when the MCG gates open at 1pm on Sunday and Tiger fans will be able to watch the likes of Dale Weightman, Michael Roach, Jimmy Jess, Jeff Hogg, Brendon Gale, Michael Gale, Nick Daffy, Allan McKellar, Peter Wilson, Stephen Ryan, David Palm and Joel Bowden desperately attempt to turn back the ravages of time.
The classic contest will conclude at around 2pm, with all funds raised on the day going towards the Club’s Former Players and Officials Association’s trust fund.
