An injury-hit Coburg suffered a 58-loss to the Northern Blues in the VFL yesterday.

The Tigers were left with minimal rotations for most of the game as several of key players suffered injuries early on, and the Blues took full advantage after quarter time.

Coburg started well, but conceded six goals to one in the second quarter and trailed by 40 points at half time.

Matt McDonough was one of the Tigers’ best players on the day, collecting 29 disposals and 15 clearances.

He was assisted by another strong showing from Robin Nahas, who also amassed 29 touches, and laid seven tackles.

Coburg’s nine goals came from individual sources, with the Tigers missing key talls Luke McGuane and Liam McBean in attack.

Coburg plays host to North Ballarat in Round 16, this Sunday, August 4, at 2pm.
