Shane Edwards’ clever left-foot snap against Hawthorn in Round 19 has been voted the 10th best goal of the year by Richmond fans.

Each weekday from today (Monday September 16) until Friday, September, richmondfc.com.au will be counting down the best goals of 2013.

Edwards’ goal came during the final quarter of the match against the Hawks, in greasy conditions at the MCG.

From a half-forward stoppage, Dustin Martin fired a handball to the Tigers’ goal sneak, who was running toward the boundary line at the Punt Road end.

Under pressure from defender Ben Stratton, Edwards saw his left foot snap sail through from 40 metres out.

The number nine goal of the year, as voted by Richmond fans, will be revealed tomorrow, Tuesday September 17.
