Richmond assistant coach Brendon Lade has joined the chorus of people in the football world singing the praises of robust Tiger midfielder Daniel Jackson.

Lade, who is in charge of the Tigers’ midfield, along with Danny Daly, rates Jackson an excellent chance to take out this year’s Jack Dyer Medal, given the career-best form he’s been in throughout season 2013.

“He’s playing very good footy,” Lade told Roar Vision’s “Spotlight” show on the eve of the Round 20 clash with Brisbane at the MCG.

“If he’s not winning the Best and Fairest, he’s very, very close to winning it.

“’Jacko’ has been unbelievable this year.  He’s changed a few things in his life that he does before games, so he’s not as angry when he goes out there (a reference to Jackson’s previous problems with the Match Review Panel) . . . he’s trying to bring it back a little bit.

“He’s had a great year and, hopefully, that continues for us.”

Jackson, 27, is averaging 21.3 disposals per game this season and he’s also kicked a career-high 14 goals, to further enhance his value to the Tiger team.
