Dynamic, young midfielder Dustin Martin has polled the most votes by a Richmond player in the AFL Coaches Association’s Player of the Year award.
Martin finished with 58 votes, which was six ahead of Tiger captain Trent Cotchin, who took out the prestigious award last year.
Valuable, veteran midfielder Daniel Jackson secured the third-most votes by a Tiger, with 46.
Martin polled votes in more games than any other Richmond player – 11 – in the award, which was won by star Collingwood midfielder Scott Pendlebury (96 votes).
Cotchin and Jackson both picked up votes in eight games.
The most “perfect 10” performances were two – by Cotchin, Brett Deledio and Brandon Ellis.
