Mature-age recruits Shaun Hampson and Matt Thomas will debut for Richmond in Saturday night’s opening round clash with Gold Coast at Metricon Stadium.
The 25-year-old Hampson, and 27-year-old Thomas, were two of six changes to the Tigers’ team that lost the 2013 elimination final to Carlton.
Also coming into the line-up are Nathan Foley, David Astbury, Ben Griffiths and Matt McDonough.

They replace injured pair Ivan Maric and Daniel Jackson, Shane Tuck, who has retired, Jake King, Dylan Grimes and Aaron Edwards.
Hampson joined Richmond during the AFL’s trade period at the end of last season following a 63-game career at Carlton in seven years.
Thomas was taken by the Tigers at pick 42 overall in the AFL’s rookie draft late last year after an 87-game career at Port Adelaide.
The pair displayed strong form for Richmond during the pre-season period.
