Matthew Richardson gives Tiger fans an update on his AFL Fantasy teams and Superboot selections after Round 14.

AFL Fantasy

My captain picks have just been shocking all year. I flip from Ablett to Rockliff, and it doesn’t matter which one I pick, the other one always – ALWAYS – has a better Fantasy game!

I suppose I should be grateful that I had ‘Rocky’ to boost my score with his 172 points, but I can’t help but be a little dirty that I took the ‘C’ from him. And I suppose I shouldn’t be too unhappy with ‘Gaz’s’ 274-point contribution to my total either.

My other players were just okay this week – a lot of scores in the 70s and 80s, which aren’t going to get me to any great Fantasy heights. I actually only finished with five players topping 100 points this week.

Putting my woes aside, we had some great performers in the Richmond fan league this week. Michael and his team “Yellow n Black 2014” won the week with a whopping score of 2363! That’s a far cry from your average of 1954.  Well done Michael - you’ve still got your work cut out for you to catch Asif though, who is first overall on 16,801 total points.

Good luck for next round.

Superboot

I’d been holding off on picking a Richmond player in Superboot, because you all know I have a soft spot for the Tiges, and I wanted to be impartial in my Fantasy games.

But, I had to pick one sometime and I thought Jack was due for a big bag against the Swans. He kicked two – if only he’d managed to convert those other two behinds. I’m now sitting at 92 in the overall rankings.

Jay Schulz is leaving the competition for dead at the moment! He kicked eight goals on the weekend, to bring his season total to 43 and put himself in first place in the Coleman Medal race, with Tom Hawkins hot on his heels.

S Springer has held his lead as the top Superbooter, with L Dimattina still close behind. Rounding out the top four are J Johnson and M Endley, with just four goals between first and fourth. Good luck for next round everyone!
