Matthew Richardson gives Tiger fans an update on his AFL Fantasy teams and Superboot selections after Round 11.

AFL Fantasy

Richo’s Racers scored 2050 this week.  It’s good that I am above the 2000 mark, but to get myself some proper credit in this game I need to start cracking the 2100 mark consistently. That starts this week!

It was a pretty high-scoring individual round, with 28 players scoring more than 120 points. Unfortunately I only had two of them in my team – Tom Rockliff and Dayne Beams. I put the captain’s armband on Gary Ablett this week, and for the second week in a row, he scored well below average. I might have to think about this week’s choice as captain – it’s very hard to ignore Rockliff’s form, and he has the highest current average (127.38) of all of Richo’s Racers.

Move over Karl N and ‘YesYesYes’ – Asif M and his team ‘Nonproductive’ have toppled you from the top of the Richmond fan league leaderboard, with a whopping 2363 points in Round 11! Well done Asif, that’s a very ‘productive’ week you’ve had. Great to see some movement at the top.

Until next week!

Superboot

It was touch and go for a while, but Buddy Franklin delivered me four goals in Superboot this week to bring my total to a respectable 42, and up four places in the rankings to number 86.

I’m still miles behind S Springer (who is currently five goals clear of second place) on 69 goals, but slow and steady wins the race.

The leading goalkicker in Round 11 was a four-way tie – Travis Cloke, Ben Howlett, Taylor Walker and Kurt Tippett, who all kicked a bag of five each, so my haul of four was a good result, and I will be looking to keep up my form heading into Round 12.

I’m tossing up between Jay Schulz – Port are unstoppable at the moment – and Tom Hawkins for Round 12, but like most weeks, I’ll probably change my mind at the last minute.

June rounds start this weekend! That’s right, May is done and dusted and we’ll draw a winner soon. But make sure you jump on board because if you get the highest score for the next four rounds (Rounds 12-15), an iPad, footy tickets, or cold hard cash could be yours! Sign up here.
