Emerging quartet re-signs
Richmond has extended the contracts of four of its emerging young players.
Rising midfield star Brandon Ellis' contract, which didn't expire until the end of 2015, has been extended for a further two years beyond that (end of 2017).
Key forwards Ben Griffiths and Liam McBean have signed on until at least the end of the 2016 season, while young utility Kamdyn McIntosh has secured a one-year contract extension.

“We’re excited to be able to secure Brandon, Ben, Liam and Kamdyn at our Club,” said Richmond’s General Manager of Football, Dan Richardson.
"Brandon's had a breakout season this year, exerting significant influence within the team due to his elite running ability and capacity to win plenty of ball.
“Ben has been able to cement his spot in the team through hard work and perseverance, and it’s a great reward for him to be able to develop further over the next two seasons and beyond.
“Liam and Kamdyn have shown significant improvement over their two seasons at the Club so far, and we believe they will continue to progress to become senior players in the future.”
Ellis is ranked equal first at Richmond (with captain Trent Cotchin) for total disposals and second in the competition for uncontested possessions. This week he was named in the 40-man All-Australian squad.

Griffiths has been a revelation in the Tigers’ line-up in the latter stages of the 2014 season, grabbing his opportunity in the forward line, and as ruck back-up to Ivan Maric.
The 23-year-old has played 15 games this season, the highest tally in his five years at Tigerland, to take his league career total to 34.
He has booted 11 goals in 2014, and averaged 4.5 marks and three tackles per game.
McBean enjoyed another solid year developing his craft at VFL level, where he again pushed for AFL selection.
He kicked 37 goals for the season in 15 appearances, including multiple goals on 11 occasions.
McIntosh, who was selected in the same draft as McBean, has endured some injury setbacks in his two seasons with Richmond, but has shown glimpses of his talent at VFL level.
Renowned for his strong running ability and foot skills, the 20-year-old played 11 games at VFL level in 2014, but missed a large chunk of the season with a foot injury.
