Richmond has finalised its player guernsey numbers for the 2015 season following yesterday’s AFL Rookie Draft.

The Tigers’ first pick in the National Draft, talented teenager, Corey Ellis, will wear No. 32, with the Club’s second selection, Connor Menadue, taking No. 37, third choice, Nathan Drummond, No. 39, fourth pick, Daniel Butler, No. 40 and fifth selection, Reece McKenzie, No. 42.

This is in line with the Club’s policy of making newcomers earn their stripes before being considered for any of the numbers steeped in Tigerland tradition.

Former Geelong midfielder, Taylor Hunt, who was claimed by Richmond as a free agent in early November, has been given the No. 28 jumper, worn with pride and distinction in recent years by Jake King.

Two players on Richmond’s senior list this year will have a change of numbers in 2015, with Nathan Gordon going from No. 39 to No. 22, and Sam Lloyd from No. 42 to No. 27.

Jayden Short, taken by the Tigers with their first pick in the Rookie Draft, will wear the No. 45, with No. 46 going to the Club’s second rookie selection Jason Castagna, and No. 48 to third pick, Kane Lambert.

Matt Arnot, redrafted by Richmond as a rookie, retains his No. 44, while Ivan Soldo, the cousin of Richmond’s No. 1 ruckman, Ivan Maric, has been given the No. 47 guernsey.
