Matthew Richardson has become the 14th player in Richmond’s history to enter the Australian Football Hall of Fame.
The modern-day Richmond great, who was inducted at Wednesday night’s gala 2014 Hall of Fame function at Crown Casino, joins fellow Tigers Charlie Pannam, Vic Thorp, Dan Minogue, Percy Bentley, Jack Titus, Jack Dyer, Bill Morris, Roy Wright, Kevin Bartlett, Royce Hart, Francis Bourke, Ian Stewart and Dale Weightman.
Richmond’s two other Australian Football Hall of Fame inductees are coaches Frank ‘Checker’ Hughes and Tommy Hafey.
Of those Tiger Hall of Famers, Dyer, Hart, Bartlett and Stewart have been elevated to Legend status.

Charlie Pannam – Richmond’s first captain when it entered the VFL competition in 1908. The grandfather of Collingwood icons Lou and Ron Richards played 14 games and kicked 22 goals in his sole league season with the Tigers and later coached the Club.
Vic Thorp – 263 games, 7 goals, 1910-25; dual premiership player 1920-21; dual Club Best and Fairest winner 1917, 1924, member of Richmond’s Team of the Century; Tigers’ Hall of Fame inductee.
Dan Minogue – 94 games, 38 goals, 1920-25; dual premiership player 1920-21; premiership captain-coach 1920-21; Club Best and Fairest winner in 1920; Club captain 1920-25; Tigers’ Hall of Fame inductee.
Percy Bentley – 263 games, 275 goals, 1925-40; dual premiership player 1932, 1934; dual premiership captain-coach 1932, 1934; Club captain 1932-40; Tigers’ Hall of Fame inductee.
Jack Titus – 294 games, 970 goals, 1926-43; dual premiership player 1932, 1934; dual Club Best and Fairest winner 1929, 1941; 11-time winner of the Club’s leading goalkicker award; VFL leading goalkicker in 1940; member of Richmond’s Team of the Century; Tigers’ Hall of Fame inductee.
Jack Dyer – 312 games, 443 goals, 1931-49; dual premiership player 1934, 1943; premiership captain-coach in 1943; Club captain 1941-49; six-time Club Best and Fairest winner; two-time winner of the Club’s leading goalkicker award; captain of Richmond’s Team of the Century; Richmond ‘Immortal’.
Bill Morris – 140 games, 98 goals, 1942-51; Brownlow Medal winner in 1948; triple Club Best and Fairest winner 1945, 1948, 1950; Club captain 1950-51; member of Richmond’s Team of the Century; Tigers’ Hall of Fame inductee.
Roy Wright – 195 games, 127 goals, 1946-59; dual Brownlow Medallist 1952, 1954; four-time Club Best and Fairest winner 1951, 1952, 1954, 1957; Club captain 1958-59; member of Richmond’s Team of the Century; Tigers’ Hall of Fame inductee.
Kevin Bartlett – 403 games, 778 goals, 1965-83; five-time premiership player 1967, 1969, 1973, 1974, 1980; five-time Club Best and Fairest winner 1967, 1968, 1973, 1974, 1977; four-time winner of the Club’s leading goalkicker award 1974, 1975, 1977, 1983; Club captain 1979; Norm Smith Medallist 1980; member of Richmond’s Team of the Century; Tiger ‘Immortal’.
