Another year of tireless preparation from Richmond’s recruiting team will culminate in this Thursday’s National Draft on the Gold Coast.
The Tigers will welcome the next batch of youngsters to the ME Bank Centre, and the Club is well placed to make the right decisions at the Draft table.
“It’s a big week, and a big time for the AFL industry as a whole,” Richmond General Manager of Football, Dan Richardson, told Nathan Brown on Roar Vision’s Bingle Recruitment Zone Show.

“The Draft is becoming a bigger event every year, and the decisions that are made on Draft day have a fairly significant impact on all clubs.
“Our recruiting staff particularly have worked really hard all year. They’ve watched a hell of a lot of footy, and do a power of work.
“They’ve being doing that particularly hard over the last month, and I’m sure whatever happens on the night, it won’t be through a lack of really solid preparation.”
Richmond’s first selection at the 2014 Draft is pick 12, and the Tigers are confident it can secure a quality player in what is widely tipped to be an even selection meeting.
“We’ve got three of four players we hope will be there,” Richardson said.
“Even at this late stage, there’s still seems to be a bit of debate about how the first 10 picks will unfold.
“The likes of Collingwood and GWS will have a big bearing on how that first 10 picks will play out.
“We’re still confident, regardless of that happens, that there will be some good players available.”
