Comment: Had a significant influence on the Richmond playing group after being traded from Adelaide through his leadership, professionalism, work ethic, high football IQ and successful AFL career background. Was runner-up in the Best and Fairest in his first two seasons with the Tigers, then took over the Club’s captaincy. Won the Jack Dyer Medal in 2006, having adapted superbly that season to a new run-with role on the opposition’s best midfielders, while still managing to win plenty of ball himself. Overall, provided Richmond with top value throughout his time at the Club.
