Richmond’s No. 1 ruckman Ivan Maric may have been at Tigerland for just under two years, but in that time he’s developed a deep passion for the Club and a strong sense of belonging.
On the eve of the Tigers’ first finals campaign in 12 years, the ex-Crow reflected on his Yellow and Black blood transfusion.
“It’s really hard to explain . . . but I went to the (Richmond) Hall of Fame dinner earlier this year and heard how Richmond was made up a lot of blue-collar, working-class men,” Maric said in an exclusive interview this week on the Club’s official podcast “Talking Tigers”.
“Maybe I like to see myself as that sort of player, and this club appreciates those sort of players, especially the fans.
“It makes me feel like I was meant to come here and play. It’s also the way the Club has welcomed me.”
