Comment: The sublimely-skilled, left-foot forward had a good debut season for Richmond after transferring over from the Western Bulldogs and then took his game to a breath-taking level during the first half of 2005. Entered the Round 10 match against Melbourne with 32 goals on the board and was being widely acclaimed as the competition’s best player. But after booting two goals early in that encounter, he suffered a season-ending broken leg in an horrific incident. Although not quite the same player following that, still managed to thrill the Tiger Army with his on-field brilliance.
