Richmond AFLW midfielder Monique Conti has been included in the AFLW’s 40-person squad, in contention for the 2020 AFL Women’s All-Australian Team.

A final team of 21 players including a captain and vice-captain will be announced at the W Awards to be held at a later date to be confirmed.

Players from all 14 AFLW teams have been selected in the squad, with Conti, 20, representing the 2020 Richmond playing group.

Conti starred in her first season in the Yellow and Black. The ball winner averaged a team-high 19.8 disposals per game, including 11 contested possessions, 4.8 tackles and 3.7 clearances.

She was named in the Tigers’ best in all six matches, her most dominant performance came in Round 4 against Geelong, where she recorded 28 disposals, five tackles, two marks, four clearances and a perfect score of 10 in the coaches’ votes.
