Richmond will travel to Wangaratta and its surrounding areas for the upcoming AFL Community Camp.

The Tigers will take on Collingwood in the Club’s first Marsh Community Series match on Sunday, March 1, and while in the region, players and coaches will participate in a range of activities throughout the local community.

Richmond’s AFL squad will spend time in Wangarratta throughout the weekend of February 29 to March 2, engaging in community visits with the CFA, hospitals, and community centres, as well as hold an open training session and superclinic.

Players will also spend time with the Club’s local Next Generation Academy participants and local female football clubs.

Richmond CEO, Brendon Gale said the AFL Community Camp is an opportunity for the Club to spend time with some of its regional fans.

“We love opportunities to take Richmond on the road and spend time in different communities,” Gale said.

“We have a lot of fans in the Wangaratta region, as well as it being part of our Next Generation Academy zone, so we’re looking forward to being able to give back to some of the people and communities that give us so much support.”

Richmond’s open training session will be on Saturday afternoon (Feb 29) at Norm Minns Oval, and the superclinic with local schools will be on Monday, March 2.

Tickets for Marsh Community Series matches go on-sale at 9am, Thursday, January 30 for Club members and 9am, Friday, January 31 for general public.
