Richmond would like to congratulate VFLW player Beth Lynch, who was today drafted to AFLW side North Melbourne as a cross-code rookie.
Lynch, 21, played 13 matches for the Tigers in their inaugural VFLW season.
The younger sister of new Richmond recruit Tom, Beth impressed for the Club with her athleticism and competitiveness.
Richmond’s VFLW coach Tom Hunter passed on his congratulations to the quick and agile utility, who is an outgoing and much-loved player at the Club.
“We’re incredibly proud of Beth and she is very deserving of an opportunity to play in the AFLW competition,” Hunter said.
“Beth joined Richmond with little football experience and I have seen first-hand how significant her development has been over the past 12 months.
“Whilst we are disappointed to see her depart, her signing is a credit to our female football program, especially the staff who work tirelessly behind the scenes.
“We wish Beth the best of luck at North Melbourne and hope to one day see her wearing yellow and black again.”
