This week of footy sees the Tigers back at Patterson Stadium to take on the West Coast Eagles. After a shocker at the G, the Tigers are looking forward to a game at a ground which they have had some success.
The last game at Patterson Stadium resulted in a 1 point loss to the Dockers in a game that could have gone either way. With the Eagles improved form and inclusions such as Daniel Kerr and Chris Masten, this promises to be a tough assignment.
The last time these two teams met in round 5, 2012 at Etihad Stadium the game resulted in a 10 point win to the Eagles. The Tigers were admirable in defeat with both teams having 27 scoring shots with only 2 points the difference at three quarter time. We were outclassed in the last quarter by an in form Eagles side that were able to grind out the win.
This season, though our form has been inconsistent, the Tiges are better positioned with more experienced players on our list due to off-season recruiting. We travel to Perth with more confidence at Patterson Stadium, and after dropping out of the eight, the Tigers need wins on the board.
On the last trip to Perth WA fans were treated to talks by Francis Jackson, Michael Roach and Dale Weightman in a Q&A type session.
This time around the boys will be fired up to prove a point after last week’s loss. Getting away from Melbourne to focus on the footy, the Tigers will need all the support they can get, so I urge all WA fans to come to the game to show support and help the boys across the line.

On June 2nd (the day before the game) there is a rally of RFC number plates where the WA supporters group is calling for all RFC number plate holders to attend and show support on the day, it costs $20 per car and there are some great prizes to be won. You can register by contacting wa@rfcsupportergroup.com with your registration number and the number of people in your car.
A Pre-game function will be held at Subiaco Sports Bar at 3.30pm, followed by the game at 5:40pm.
The post-game function, also at the Subiaco Sports Bar, will include the draw for the major raffle “The Ultimate Tiger Weekend” in which the lucky winner will be treated to a weekend in Melbourne with accommodation and a tour of Punt Road. They will also receive tickets to the round 21 match against Carlton, a signed jumper and more.
