Richmond midfielder, Reece Conca has avoided serious injury after scans cleared the 25-year-old of major structural damage to his left ankle.
Conca suffered a dislocated ankle in the opening quarter of Richmond’s 26-point win over Sydney at Etihad Stadium last night.
The injury does not require any surgery, and the Club is confident that he will be available for selection before the end of the home-and-away season.
“We’re so pleased for Reece that the outcome is as good as we could have hoped for,” Richmond’s General Manager – Football, Neil Balme said.
“The plan is for Reece to wear a moonboot for two weeks, he will then be able to resume a conditioning program, and we expect him to be available later this season,” he said.
