Richmond is confident it can quickly eradicate the mistakes that proved so costly against the Western Bulldogs at the MCG last Saturday.
The Tigers won most of the match’s key performance indicators, but lost the one that really matters – on the scoreboard.
A 19-point defeat was the price Richmond paid for repeated errors throughout the contest.
But Tiger pair Chris Newman and Dylan Grimes is convinced the performance was an aberration and the team will perform significantly better against Brisbane at the Gabba next Saturday night.

“Things that we can control really let us down today, so if there’s a positive, the positive is I think that we can easily rectify that during the week and against the Brisbane Lions next week,” Newman said on ‘The Richmond Review’.
“We just have to dust ourselves off and get into the review on Monday. No-one really likes going to review when you lose, but if there is a positive it’s that we can control the things that let us down today, and it’s something that can be easily rectified throughout the week and taking into Brisbane.
“It’s going to be a huge challenge for us, but we like travelling together and we look forward to bouncing back.”
Round 2: Dylan Grimes post-game
Grimes claimed the most disappointing aspect of the loss to the Dogs was that the Tigers believe they’re a much better team than the performance they dished up . . .
“Last week we showed we can be really clean with the ball against a good side and a big game Round 1,” he said.
“We know we can handle the ball cleanly and get the ball moving the way that we play . . .
“We’ve got a hundred things we’re going to work on this week and get them right for next week.”
