Richmond has had victory snatched from its grasp in the final minute, against Fremantle by four points at the MCG.
 
In front of 39,777 fans, the Tigers led for the vast majority of the match against the ladder leaders, only for a David Mundy set shot with under 60 seconds remaining denying them a fifth straight win.
 
It was a bruising contest for four quarters, with Richmond’s missed opportunities (10.18) a telling factor in the game.
 
In the frenetic final quarter, the Dockers kicked the last two goals of the match, after Ben Lennon had put the Tigers ahead by eight points midway through the term.
 
Brandon Ellis was the game’s biggest ball winner, finishing with 31 disposals and 10 marks.
 
Trent Cotchin (24 disposals), Shaun Grigg (22), Kane Lambert (22) and Dustin Martin (22) carried a solid load through the midfield.
 
In his 200th game, Troy Chaplin was a standout in defence, winning 23 possessions, taking eight marks and constantly propelling Fremantle’s attacking moves.
 
In the tough and tight opening exchanges, veteran Chris Newman opened the scoring for the Tigers, converting a set shot after a mark inside 50.

It took 15 minutes for the Dockers to register their first, which came from Matthew Pavlich.

They were the only goals of the opening stanza, amid a flurry of missed opportunities from both sides.
 
Richmond skipped out to a 13-point lead early in the second term, after back-to-back goals from Kamdyn McIntosh and Ivan Maric.
 
The Dockers hit back hard, hitting the lead on the back of three-straight goals.

With four minutes remaining, Jack Riewoldt marked and kicked accurately to extend the lead to seven points.
 
A minute later, Ben Griffiths clunked a grab but hit the post, and down the other end, Matt Taberner closed the gap to two points at the main break with a mark and goal on the siren.
 
Tiger ruckman Shaun Hampson’s night was finished during the interval, after he succumbed to a lower leg injury.
 
Richmond again drew first blood at the start of the third quarter, with Brett Deledio converting a set shot, as the teams traded goals for the first 20 minutes.
 
The Dockers drew level after 24 minutes through Stephen Hill, but a snap from Newman allowed the Tigers to hold a slender five-point lead at the final change.
