Brandon Ellis was the game’s biggest ball winner, finishing with 31 disposals and 10 marks.
Trent Cotchin (24 disposals), Shaun Grigg (22), Kane Lambert (22) and Dustin Martin (22) carried a solid load through the midfield.
In his 200th game, Troy Chaplin was a standout in defence, winning 23 possessions, taking eight marks and constantly propelling Fremantle’s attacking moves.
In the tough and tight opening exchanges, veteran Chris Newman opened the scoring for the Tigers, converting a set shot after a mark inside 50. It took 15 minutes for the Dockers to register their first, which came from Matthew Pavlich.

Richmond again drew first blood at the start of the third quarter, with Brett Deledio converting a set shot, as the teams traded goals for the first 20 minutes.
The Dockers drew level after 24 minutes through Stephen Hill, but a snap from Newman allowed the Tigers to hold a slender five-point lead at the final change.
