Richmond fans can help raise much-needed funds for the Club’s preferred charity partner, The Alannah and Madeline Foundation, through the ‘Hop for Hope’ fundraiser in Victoria’s Yarra Valley.
The Foundation is collaborating with Yarra Valley Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery to present an outdoor fundraising charity art exhibition.
The exhibition is free, and open every day from 9am–5pm, until November 1, 2015.
Artists, entrepreneurs and personalities have donated their time and talent to transform 40 life-sized fiberglass kangaroos into unique artworks, inspired by the theme of hope.
Artists include TV and radio personality, Melissa Doyle, painter David Bromley, renowned artists Michelle Possum and Rowena Martinich, and The Alannah and Madeline Foundation Founding Patron Walter Mikac.
Visitors to the exhibition can vote for their favourite kangaroo by placing a gold coin in a box next to the kangaroo of their choice.
Each day, votes will be tallied for the ‘People’s Choice Roo’, to be announced at the end of the exhibition.
Kangaroos will be sold via an online auction, with the aim of raising more than $400,000 for the Foundation.
