Richmond’s VFL program has received a significant boost ahead of the 2015 season, with the announcement that property developer Caydon will partner the Club for the next two years.

Caydon will join the Tigers as a joint-major VFL development partner for the 2015 and 2016 seasons, alongside Jeep.

The partnership will see the Caydon logo feature on the back of the Club’s VFL guernsey and the front of the players’ shorts.

Caydon is renowned for building high quality apartment developments, and offers its buyers thriving off the plan investment properties and stylish new homes in Melbourne.

“One of the Richmond VFL program’s aims is to develop the next batch of young Richmond players, and its success cannot be achieved without the support of partners like Caydon,” said the Tigers’ CEO Brendon Gale.

“Joe Russo and Caydon have long been passionate followers of the Yellow and Black, and we are looking forward to working closely with them to bring this partnership to life.”

Through Russo's lifelong support of the Tigers, Caydon’s new partnership with Richmond is another way in which it can assist in building a stronger VFL team for the Club.

"For the success of the Richmond Football Club, it's very important it has a VFL side, on a number of levels . . . to develop the skills of younger players and to also have control over its entire player list,” Russo said.

“Richmond is a strong, national brand and also a favourite locally.  Caydon is looking forward to watching the VFL team develop.”

Caydon is also a strong operator in the Richmond area, with its four acres of land in Cremorne, including the Nylex clock site, which will be developed into a $600 million neighbourhood of apartments, retail and offices in the near future.
