Richmond veteran Chris Newman and key forward Ty Vickery are edging closer to a return to the senior side.
Newman has missed the last three matches with a groin injury, while Vickery was forced out of last weekend’s game due to knee/ankle soreness.
The pair will undergo fitness tests during the week to determine their availability for this Friday night’s match against Fremantle at Domain Stadium in Perth.
Meanwhile, defender David Astbury has suffered a setback, injuring his hamstring.
Astbury left the field early in the Tigers’ VFL loss to Essendon last Saturday, and is expected to be sidelined for 2-4 weeks.
And, first-year Tiger Kane Lambert is less than a fortnight away from making his return from a shoulder injury.
Lambert was injured on his AFL debut, in Round 2 against the Western Bulldogs.
