The coveted title of AFL Players’ Association Most Valuable Player could go to a Tiger this year, with three Richmond players nominated for the award.
Brett Deledio, Dustin Martin, and Alex Rance are all in the running to take out the prize, which is announced next week.
Kane Lambert’s has been nominated in the Best First Year player category, and Rance is a candidate for Most Courageous player.
Deledio’s nomination is an upshot from an injury-plagued start to 2015, where he struggled to contain a troublesome Achilles injury.

He has gone on to kick 25 goals, while averaging more than 20 disposals per game.
His best game for the season was arguably against St Kilda, when he collected 28 disposals, took eight marks and kicked three goals.
Rance has gone to an even higher level in 2015, with his performance in the backline providing stability for the entire team.
Fresh off signing a four-year deal to stay a Tiger, Rance has continued to flourish playing on some of the best forwards in the game.
The 25-year-old topped the AFL for one percenters, while ranking in the top ten at Richmond for disposals in 2015.

Martin has enjoyed another consistent season with the Tigers, averaging 26 disposals and one goal per game.
Known as one of the competition’s most damaging midfielders, Martin’s improvement came in his defensive work, with the 24-year-old ranking third at Richmond for tackles in 2015.
He showed his class against the Giants in Round 14, where he picked up 28 possessions, laid ten tackles and kicked a goal.
The Most Valuable Player for 2015 will be crowned at the AFL Players’ MVP Awards on Tuesday, September 15. The event will be broadcast live on Fox Footy.
