Richmond’s pre-season training intensity has continued in the first two weeks of 2015, as the players ready themselves for the new season.
The Tigers returned to the track on January 5, after a short break, and have experienced little respite from the training loads.
“Pre-season at the moment is tough, as every club is going through at the moment,” said Richmond spearhead Jack Riewoldt.
“We’re just trying to tick off the sessions, and trying to improve in every session.

“It’s exciting at the moment. That group’s in a good spot. We’re looking forward to finishing some solid training over the next few months and getting into season 2015.”
Riewoldt is so far enjoying a rare pre-season without interruption due to injury or post-season surgery, and is relishing the combination of endurance and match simulation training.
“It’s changed a lot since I started about eight years ago,” he said.
“You see a lot of clubs getting into pre-season mode with the balls, even in November.

“For us, it’s just continuing to work on the way we want to play, and doing drills based around that.
“We’ve got some guys that are training really well at the moment, and we’ll continue to work hard.”
