Recently-retired Richmond star Nathan Foley has strongly endorsed emerging Tiger youngster Kamdyn McIntosh.
Foley believes the hard-running McIntosh has what it takes to develop into a key member of the Tigers’ line-up over the next decade.
“It’s his first full year of (AFL) football, which people forget, and he’s played every game,” Foley said on this week’s edition of the Club’s official podcast ‘Talking Tigers’.
“He’s just got elite attributes . . .

“He’s a big body, he’s got an amazing tank, wins his own ball, gets it on the outside and, defensively, he’s unbelievable on the wing.
He’s had a great year.”
McIntosh, 21, is averaging 14.6 disposals per game in his debut league season.
He had 19 touches and took seven marks in another valuable display for Richmond, against Collingwood at the MCG last Saturday.
Meanwhile, Foley also has given a big tick of approval to clever Tiger forward Sam Lloyd, who has kicked six goals in the past two weeks (v Gold Coast and Collingwood), to take his season’s tally to 13 in 10 games.
“He does have X-factor,” Foley said.
“He just gets shots on goal . . . It’s incredible how many shots on goal he’s had for the amount of (AFL) games he’s played (18 in total). Some of those games he’s been the ‘sub’ as well.
“That’s something you can’t teach.
“He’s been doing it for years all over the place, and now he’s doing it here at Richmond. He’s a smart player.”
Richmond’s goalkicking great and Talking Tigers co-host Matthew Richardson agreed with Foley’s assessment of Lloyd.
“He’s a natural forward,” Richardson said.
“It’s an instinct you can’t really train.
“That’s what he’s got.”
