Jack Riewoldt spent time with some special children yesterday, visiting the Monash Children’s Hospital in Clayton.
The young patients, who are suffering a range of illnesses, were all smiles when the dual Coleman Medallist walked through the hospital wards.
Riewoldt said he was happy to take the time to spend with the children, knowing it meant a lot to them.
“It was great to see the kids. Some of them are quite sick, but visits from footballers can really brighten their day,” he said.
Some of the patients and their families went to plenty of effort to make Riewoldt feel welcome, with yellow and black decorations and signs strewn throughout the hospital.
Riewoldt handed out gifts, signed autographs and posed for photos to help the kids remember his visit.
