Richmond has won its fifth game in a row for the first time in Damien Hardwick’s tenure, defeating a spirited GWS side at the MCG by 27 points.
The Tigers kicked five goals in a row in the second term and held the Giants goalless, in what turned out to be the difference in the game.
The Giants fought valiantly, but were unable to eat into the margin in the second half.

Brett Deledio was again strong in the midfield and through half-forward, finishing with 31 disposals, seven inside 50s, and two long goals in the second quarter to start the Tigers’ run.
Trent Cotchin worked hard and found the ball 30 times (18 contested) and won six clearances, while Dustin Martin found some form in the second half after a quiet start, kicking two goals.
Alex Rance stood Jon Patton throughout the game, which proved to be a tough task, but he provided some excellent rebound with 22 disposals.
