Richmond’s midfield will receive a timely boost with the return of Reece Conca for tonight’s clash with Hawthorn at the MCG.
Conca is set to make his first senior appearance with the Tigers since the 2014 elimination final loss to Port Adelaide.
He has endured a frustrating series of injuries this year (knee and hamstring problems), but showed some good signs on the comeback trail in the VFL over the past couple of weeks.
“We were pretty happy with his form last week. He’s an important player,” said Richmond coach Damien Hardwick.
“His form has been very good. He’s looking as good since my time at the Club. He’s fit and he’s ready to go.
“He hasn’t played all year, so he should be fit and fresh.”

Richmond assistant coach Brendon Lade said Conca would complement the Tigers’ midfield group.
“He’s had two games in the VFL and played some really good footy. He had a lot of touches last week (28 disposals v Sandringham),” he said.
“He’s something we need in our midfield – that little zip-around mid – so we’re happy with that.”
Conca, who turns 23 in August, has played 71 games for Richmond after being taken by the Club at pick six overall in the 2010 National Draft.
