Richmond captain Trent Cotchin led the way for the Tigers in the AFL Coaches Association’s Player of the Year voting for the Round 3 clash with Adelaide at Etihad Stadium.
Cotchin was awarded three votes by rival coaches Damien Hardwick (Richmond) and Don Pyke (Adelaide) for his inspirational efforts throughout the match.
The triple Jack Dyer Medallist finished with 32 disposals, including a team-high 14 contested possessions, a game-high 11 score involvements, an equal team-high six clearances, along with seven marks and six tackles.
Rebounding defender Bachar Houli was the only other Richmond player to poll votes in the coaches award for Round 3.
Houli picked up one vote after finishing the match with 36 disposals, including five rebound-50s, five interceptions, three inside-50s, plus five tackles.
