A statistical analysis of each AFL club’s strike power up forward, following the competition’s recent trade and free agency period, shows how significant Richmond’s acquisition of Tom Lynch has been.
The Tigers are now ranked equal second in terms of players on their list who have kicked more than 100 goals throughout their league football careers and average at least one goal per game.
Lynch joins Jack Riewoldt, Dustin Martin and Josh Caddy in that elite goalkicking category at Tigerland.
Only Hawthorn, with five (given the addition of Chad Wingard from Port Adelaide), has more players in the select six-pointers’ set.
