Richmond vice-captain Brett Deledio will return to the field in the Tigers’ final match of the NAB Challenge against Port Adelaide on Thursday night.

The 28-year-old has managed his calf through the pre-season and is set to play half of the game at Etihad Stadium.

Coach Damien Hardwick welcomed the return of another of his stars two weeks out from the beginning of the home-and-away season.

"We've had a pretty conservative approach with Brett but we're looking forward to putting him on the park and having his first run," Hardwick said ahead of Tuesday morning’s training session.

Ruckman Shaun Hampson will also make his first official outing of 2016 after recovering from off-season ankle surgery.

Fellow talls Ty Vickery and Ben Griffiths return to the side that defeated Hawthorn by 71 points at Beaconsfield.

The pair were ruled out with concussion following the Club’s first match of the NAB Challenge against Fremantle.

First-year players Nathan Broad and Adam Marcon have been recalled to the squad, while Mabior Chol and Daniel Rioli have held their place.
