Richmond defender Steven Morris is aiming to add a more offensive aspect to his game as he prepares for the 2014 season.
The Tigers have benefited from the 25-year-old’s tight checking in the back half for the last two seasons, where he has often blanketed the opposition’s most dangerous small forwards.
Morris, however, has displayed some attacking prowess at times, sneaking forward to kick three goals in the 2013 season.

He has missed just two games since being traded to the ME Bank Centre at the end of the 2011 season, and the Club’s coaching staff believe the time is right for him to expand his repertoire.
“I know the Club’s pretty keen for me a little bit more offensive and develop my game in that area,” Morris said.
“Obviously I’ve played a fairly negative role in trying to shut down the opposition’s better small forwards.
“Hopefully next year I can get a bit more of the ball myself and provide a bit more rebound and run out of the backline.”
