Richmond coach Damien Hardwick is convinced the Tigers’ star midfielder Dustin Martin still has scope for significant improvement in his game.
Martin has finished runner-up in the Club’s Jack Dyer Medal twice (2013, 2015), and been third on another two occasions (2011, 2014) throughout his six seasons of league football with the Tigers.

He’s averaging 23.5 disposals per match in 131 games and has kicked 141 goals.
Last year, he averaged a career-high 26 disposals per game, booted 24 goals, and polled a personal best 21 votes in the Brownlow Medal.
But, according to Hardwick, his best is yet to come . . .
“From his performance point of view, for a player of 24 years of age, he’s at a very, very good level. But we hope he can take his game again to another level,” Hardwick said.
“His fitness level improves every year, his ability to dominate games is getting better every year, and the consistency level of his performance is improving also.
“We think he’s going to have a wonderful season.”
