Richmond great Matthew Richardson has nominated talented teenager Corey Ellis as his young Tiger player to look out for in 2016.
Ellis, who was Richmond’s first pick (No. 12 overall) in the 2014 AFL National Draft, played just six senior games in his debut season with the Club last year.

Richardson, however, was extremely impressed with Ellis and had no hesitation in naming the stylish left-foot midfielder as his youthful ‘Yellow and Black book special’ for 2016, on the first episode of the Club’s official podcast ‘Talking Tigers’ this year, which aired today (Tuesday, February 16).
“I loved what I saw from him last year,” Richardson said.
“It was just one kick over in Perth . . . that weighted left-foot kick to Brett Deledio in that game where the Tigers smashed ‘Freo’. I thought, this bloke is going to be a 10-12-year player for the Club.
“Over the summer he’s got a lot of work in . . .
“He’s got class, he’s a smooth mover. So, keep your eye on Corey Ellis.”
