In and under, clearance collector Anthony Miles provides ‘Roar Vision’ with an assessment of his 2016 season...

Looking back

“I was a bit frustrated with how my year panned out, the expectations of the side were pretty high and I had high expectations of myself.”

Bouncing back

“Being dropped early was pretty frustrating for me and then I started to play some pretty good footy during the middle part of the year.”

Pre-season goals

“I only kicked ten goals this year, I’d like to be able to go forward a bit more, kick more goals and add that string to my bow."

Lessons learned

“We’ve got an extremely proud group of guys and coaches and it’s been well publicised how disappointed we are with this year. The competition is so even and if you’re off on any single day you’re going to get beaten, that’s the way the competition is and as a player I don’t think you can take anything for granted as well.”

Looking forward

“In terms of next year, Dan Rioli, and particularly in the back end of the season, Oleg Markov and ‘Shorty’ (Jayden Short), I thought their years were outstanding and certainly give us something to look forward to. This football club will bounce back, I’ve got no doubt about it.”
