Richmond has dismissed speculation star key forward Jack Riewoldt could be headed to another league club during the AFL’s trade period, which started today.
"Not to our knowledge, no, so I'm not sure where that's come from," said the Tigers’ General Manager – Football Talent, Dan Richardson.
"Jack's got three more years to go on his contract and he's a very important player for us."
Richardson also confirmed the Club's interest in ruckmen Toby Nankervis (Sydney) and Nathan Vardy (Geelong), but the Tigers have not looked at bringing in Port Adelaide’s Matthew Lobbe.
"We've got some interest in Toby, but at the moment the Swans want to retain him," Richardson said.
"With Ty (Vickery) now officially moving (to Hawthorn as a free agent), there's some interest in acquiring another player."
Meanwhile, young Richmond forward Ben Lennon is exploring his options, but Richardson said there had been little interest from other clubs on day one of the trade period.
And midfielder Reece Conca will "more than likely" remain at Tigerland, after he was offered a two-year contract.
