Tall Richmond forward Todd Elton will not require surgery after dislocating his right shoulder in the VFL against Werribee at Beaconsfield last Saturday.
Elton will undergo a rehab program, but it is not yet clear how long he will be sidelined for.
The 24-year-old had his arm in a sling at the end of the Round 7 VFL match, however, subsequent scans ruled out surgery.
Richmond ruckman Ivan Soldo, who also was injured in the clash after landing awkwardly in a marking contest, is expected to be available for selection following the bye.
Utility Nick Vlastuin will need to get through fitness testing before putting his hand up for selection in Round 13, when the Tigers host Sydney at the MCG on Saturday, June 17.
Vlastuin, 23, fractured the scapula in his right shoulder in Richmond’s Round 7 match against the Western Bulldogs.
