It was 10 out of 10 for brilliant Richmond midfielder Dustin Martin in the AFL Coaches Association’s Player of the Year award voting for the Round 10 ‘Dreamtime at the G’ clash with Essendon.
Martin received the maximum votes from rival coaches Damien Hardwick (Richmond) and John Worsfold (Essendon) following his powerhouse performance in the Tigers’ 15-point win last Saturday night.

He had 30 disposals, including 13 contested possessions, six clearances, five inside-50s, nine score involvements, one trademark team-lifting goal, along with five marks, an equal game-high seven tackles and a highly-impressive 27 pressure acts.
The reigning Jack Dyer Medallist has now moved into fourth place in the prestigious coaches’ award, with a total of 43 votes – 10 behind the leader, Adelaide’s Rory Sloane.
Star Tiger key defender Alex Rance picked up seven votes for another superb display – 19 disposals, an equal team-high nine intercepts, six marks, six tackles and three rebound-50s.
Richmond captain Trent Cotchin was rewarded for his inspirational efforts throughout the match with six votes.
Cotchin finished with a team-high 31 disposals, including 15 contested possessions, eight inside-50s and an equal game-high seven clearances.
Hard-running Tiger utility Brandon Ellis was given four votes for his best game of season 2017.
Ellis had 30 disposals, including an equal AFL career-high 13 contested possessions, an equal team-high nine intercepts, eight score involvements and one goal, plus an equal game-high nine marks.
