Tenacious small defender Steven Morris will remain at Richmond in 2018 as a valued member of the Tigers’ VFL team.
Morris was delisted from Richmond’s senior playing list at the end of the 2017 premiership season, but further underlined his great commitment to the Yellow and Black cause by being keen to stay and assist with the development of the Club’s strong list of emerging, talented, young players.
The 28-year-old (he turns 29 on December 31) played 87 senior games with the Tigers in a six-season career from 2012-17.
He managed only one senior appearance in season 2017 – the Round 6 clash with Adelaide at Adelaide Oval – but played a pivotal role in the impressive rise of Richmond’s VFL side to finish runner-up, through his professional approach, exemplary work ethic, fierce determination and fine leadership qualities.
Meanwhile, key VFL team members Hugh Beasley and Jacob Ballard head a raft of Richmond re-signings for 2018, as the Tigers strive to go one better next season.
