Richmond's Josh Caddy has been charged by the AFL's Match Review Panel for striking Adelaide's David Mackay in Thursday night's match at the Adelaide Oval.
Caddy has been offered a one-match sanction for making contact with Mackay's head in the third quarter of the loss to the Crows.
Mackay was ruled out with concussion and took no further part in the game.
Based on video evidence and a medical report from Adelaide, the action was assessed as careless conduct with medium impact to the head.
Caddy can accept a one match ban without appearing before the Tribunal, and if he accepts the charge, he will miss next Sunday's clash against Hawthorn at the MCG.
The 25-year-old has been instrumental in the Tigers' opening two matches, averaging 18 touches and kicking three goals in each game.
In better news, ruckman Toby Nankervis was also cited by the match review panel, but is free to face the Hawks.
Nankervis was charged with misconduct against Adelaide's Matt Crouch in the first quarter and can accept a $1500 sanction with an early plea.

Contact between Richmond’s Shane Edwards and the Adelaide Crows’ Taylor Walker from the third quarter of Thursday’s game was assessed. The ball was loose with Walker in pursuit of the ball, ahead of Richmond’s Bachar Houli. The ball bounces back behind Walker, who turns towards the ball as Richmond’s Shane Edwards approaches the contest. Edwards gets low, puts his hands down and touches the ball as he attempts to take possession while he simultaneously makes contact with Walker. It was the view of the Match Review Officer that Edwards was contesting the ball and he did not have a realistic alternative way to contest the ball.
