Richmond features in three of the five 2018 home-and-away games at which the Melbourne Cricket Club expects the MCG members’ reserve to be close to capacity in season 2018.
In an email to members, the MCC divided all of its scheduled 45 home-and-away games into four crowd categories, before identifying the five blockbusters.
The Tigers came out on top of the MCC’s crowd charts for 2018 with anticipated huge attendances at their opening round match against Carlton on Thursday, March 22, the Round 5 Anzac Eve clash with Melbourne on Tuesday, April 24, and the ‘Dreamtime at the G’ fixture v Essendon in Round 11 on Saturday, June 2.

The MCC’s two other predicted top-drawing games in 2018 are the Collingwood v Essendon Anzac Day match in Round 5 on Wednesday, April 25 and the Melbourne v Collingwood Queen’s Birthday encounter in Round 12 on Monday, June 11.
Richmond was the hottest ticket in town last season, ranked No. 1 in the competition for home attendances and No. 1 for total crowd figures.
