Livewire Richmond forward Jason Castagna has put an attack of the goalkicking yips well and truly behind him in the past couple of matches.
Castagna was off target with 0.8 in the four games from Round 15-18, but has hit back strongly on the scoreboard since then.
He kicked two goals straight against Collingwood in Round 19, and replicated that in last night’s thrilling three-point victory over Geelong at the MCG.
Those two valuable goals against the Cats took his 2018 season’s tally to 23 in 17 games, which means he’s well on track to surpass what he achieved on the goalkicking front in the Tigers’ 2017 premiership year.
Castagna finished with 26 goals in 25 games last season.
He now has a total of 51 goals from 47 AFL games with Richmond.
And Castagna continues to apply plenty of that crucial front-half pressure for the Tigers.
He’s ranked eighth in the competition for tackles inside 50 and had five against Geelong last night.
