Two Richmond VFL-related photographs have topped their categories at the recent 2018 AFL Victoria Media Awards.

‘Flying Shai’ by Morgan Hancock was recognised as the Best Photograph – Action (VFL/VFLW/ TAC Cup/TAC Cup Girls) capturing Shai Bolton's VFL mark of the year against Williamstown in Round 10.

'The Skipper' by Richmond VFL photographer Cameron Grimes picked up the award for Best Photograph – Character of the Game (VFL/VFLW/ TAC Cup/TAC Cup Girls) for a frame of VFL Tigers' captain Steve Morris staring down the barrel while receiving treatment on his injured nose in the Round 9 win over Collingwood.
