Richmond midfielder Kane Lambert has further highlighted his impressive progress at the game’s highest level by joining an exclusive group of AFL players 15 rounds into season 2018.
Lambert is one of a select few in the competition that averages what are considered elite statistical numbers – more than 20 disposals and a goal a game. He’s averaging 21.1 disposals and 1.0 goal per game so far this season.
Reigning Brownlow Medallist Dustin Martin is the only other Richmond player in this category, with an average of 24.2 disposals and 1.3 goals a game.
Lambert produced another top-class performance in last Thursday night’s victory over Sydney at Etihad Stadium, picking up an equal team-high 27 disposals, including 12 contested possessions.
His hard two-way running was clearly evident, as he combined five rebound-50s with an equal AFL career-high three goals in a total of 494 metres gained.
Lambert has become an integral part of Richmond’s midfield and is now receiving due recognition from outside Tigerland’s four walls.
