Richmond’s preliminary final next Friday night will be the 14th in its league football history.
The Tigers have won seven and lost six of the 13 preliminary finals they’ve contested so far.

Their first preliminary final in the then VFL competition was 100 years ago, in 1919, when they defeated Collingwood by 29 points – 10.14 (74) to 6.9 (45).
And, of course, Richmond’s most recent preliminary final was last year – a 39-point loss to Collingwood at the MCG.
