Richmond has snapped up another key player, with defender Alex Rance extending his contract for another two years.
Rance, 23, has committed to staying at Tigerland until the end of the 2015 season.
"It's nice to be wanted," Rance told richmondfc.com.au.
"If I didn't pick up that, I'd probably be collecting garbage for someone, so it was nice to be wanted for another couple of years."
Last week Nick Vlastuin, Brandon Ellis, Chris Newman and Jake King all signed contract extensions while captain Trent Cotchin committed for two years earlier this season.
Rance said it was encouraging to see the number of players who had already extended their contracts this year.
"We've got great depth in the side. We're just waiting on another couple of big names to sign up but I'm sure they're not far away," he said.
"Definitely it's good to see that young kids believe in the style of play we're playing and the wins help too."
Rance said his form had improved recently after being shaky early this season, and he believed he was as settled as he'd ever been in the Richmond line up after 78 senior games.
"I still get as nervous each game as I did my first one," he said.
"It is a lot nicer once you're in the position I'm in now, where you know you've got your spot and you know what you've got to do and it's just a matter of consistency and execution.
"The first couple of years were a bit tough; I didn't really know my spot but now I know what type of player I want to be and I know what type of career I want to have, so I'm pretty happy with where I'm at."
