Richmond coach Damien Hardwick has acknowledged that the Tigers will be in for a tough battle when they host Sydney at Marvel Stadium on Saturday night, regardless of the fact the Swans have only one win from their first four games this season.

“They’re an incredibly competitive side that has been in every game they’ve played,” Hardwick said.

“They’re probably similar to us, not quite at their best, but they’re certainly capable of flicking the switch . . .

“So we understand we’re playing a really good side this week that is capable of winning some football games going forward.

“You look at the names on the paper and it’s like ‘geez’ they’re a good side.

“So it will be a good contest.”
